End of an Era

June 17th, 2023

Over our 40 plus year history of serving the community we have moved several times. We were once housed in places like the old Hospital, then the old Juvenile Hall.
A little over 10 years ago we moved into the Old Gold Street School. In those 10 or so years we have seen many changes and many faces through that door but our mission has never changed or waivered, to help those in need. We look forward to this new chapter in our history. The memories made at the Gold Street location will never be forgotten fellow volunteers we have lost, volunteers who have moved on to other places, friends and clients who have become like family to us stay with us always.
In this move one volunteer from our Juvenile Hall location days remains, working her way up from inventory and putting bags together to now being our Executive Director. Under her leadership the future looks bright on this new chapter.

Who We Are

Our Roots

Here at Yreka Food Bank, we know that sometimes all it takes to change the world is a little support.
Since our founding over 40 years ago we have lived by that above message and continue to help those in need in our small mountain community.
Won't you join us in that message being spread?
On any given week we have helped between 3 and 70 individuals and families over our history with food bags to help combat hunger and food insecurities.
We as an organization have also spread our work into helping the homeless, sharing with other community organizations, clothing distribution, and emergency supply aid.
